Practitioner-assisted stretching is a guided form of stretching where a trained professional helps move your body through controlled, intentional stretches. At Get Stretch’d, your practitioner supports your movements to safely improve flexibility, mobility, and overall ease of motion — all tailored to your comfort level and goals.

Yes — assisted stretching can be especially helpful for relieving tightness in the hips and lower back caused by prolonged sitting, repetitive movement, or everyday stress. Our Ocala clients often notice improved mobility and reduced stiffness as their bodies begin to move more freely over time. Each session is personalized and always performed within a comfortable range.

Your assisted stretching session at Get Stretch’d Ocala begins with a brief conversation about how your body feels and what you’d like to focus on. Your practitioner then guides you through a customized stretch session designed to help you feel relaxed, supported, and more mobile. Most clients leave feeling lighter, looser, and more connected to their movement.

Practitioner-assisted stretching and licensed massage therapy can both help ease discomfort from conditions such as sciatica, plantar fasciitis, lower back tension, hip tightness, and knee stiffness. These services may also improve circulation, increase flexibility, enhance range of motion, and reduce overall muscle tension and stress.

Many clients report feeling less stiff, more mobile, and more at ease after their first session. Results vary depending on your body, goals, and consistency, but both stretching and massage can provide benefits right away and improve further over time.

Massage primarily focuses on manipulating soft tissue to relieve tension, reduce stress, and promote relaxation. Assisted stretching emphasizes guided movement and joint mobility to improve posture, flexibility, and long-term functional health. At Get Stretch’d, we offer both therapies — individually or combined — for a more complete approach to wellness.

Staying active is important, but it doesn’t always keep your body balanced. Repetitive movements, long periods of sitting or standing, and muscle imbalances can all lead to tightness over time. Even active people often develop areas of restricted movement without realizing it. Assisted stretching helps address those patterns by working on specific areas of tightness and supporting better overall mobility.

Sessions are fully clothed in our open, welcoming studio. Wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement, and please bring or wear socks. We provide complimentary spring water and recommend staying hydrated before and after your session.

Stretching is the foundation, but many sessions also include other therapeutic techniques when appropriate, such as acupressure, percussion tools, muscle treatments, scraping, ice therapy, or band work. Every session is customized to your goals, whether you’re seeking mobility, relaxation, or recovery.

Self-stretching is helpful, but there’s a limit to what your body can achieve on its own. Our trained professionals provide safe guidance and apply proven techniques like PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) to help you move past natural limits, release deeper tension, and experience greater results than you would stretching alone.

Our team includes Florida licensed massage therapists, certified stretch practitioners, physical therapy assistants, and holistic trainers. Each practitioner is fully trained, professional, and passionate about client care, ensuring you receive safe, effective, and supportive treatment.
