Our Services

You don’t have to be a professional athlete or do manual labor to experience tight muscles and physical stress. Day-to-day life, stress and aging all take a toll on your body. Whether you’re dealing with aging, a job that keeps you at a desk, or a demanding schedule that creates both physical and mental stress, assisted stretching can provide vital relief.

Why do we need to stretch?

“Our entire life, we’re either bending, standing up or walking. Everything we do contracts and engages our muscles. Eventually, those muscles tighten up,” says Colton Frazier, manager and stretch professional at Get Stretch’d.

“Once those muscles tighten up, they can cause imbalances, which will throw off our normal walking gait and cause other issues, like back pain and impingements.”

For example, Frazier explains that a tight calf muscle can cause tension behind the knee. This tension can lead to a tight hamstring, which can impact your glut muscles and even cause back pain.

“The person who works at a desk is constantly sitting, which causes curvature of the cervical spine, as well as the lower lumbar,” he says. “That creates a lot of tension in general, and can lead to tight muscles and stress.”

It’s all connected.

That’s why every single person will benefit from stretching.

What kind of stretching is offered?

With assisted stretching you’ll experience isolated stretches that target specific muscle groups.

Our skilled stretch professionals are trained in both PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) and active dynamic stretching.

PNF includes added resistance for max benefits. This includes both resistance bands and the stretch professional’s hands.

With active dynamic stretching, a position is held for just a few seconds and then released.
“When you do both types of stretching, you’re able to increase more range of motion than by just doing one version of stretching. With assisted stretching, we do a lot of isolated stretches that target specific muscle groups,” explains Frazier.

Who benefits?

Assisted stretching can provide immediate relief and long-term solutions. Stretching has benefits for every body…from serious athletes to “weekend warriors,” aging individuals striving to keep moving, parents and teens.

The elderly person who doesn’t exercise much would benefit greatly from assisted stretching, but so would most kids in middle school and high school. “Kids aren’t as active today, which is just like someone who is sitting in an office all day long. They can have really tight muscles,” notes Frazier.

Get Stretch’d is for anyone age 10 and up.

Feel relief with just one visit and experience increased benefits with regular visits. Regular stretching over time can alleviate back pain, sciatica, and tension throughout the body.

What can I expect?

All sessions take place on the table in our welcoming open stretch room. You’ll be able to see all the other guests and stretch professionals, so there is never any concern about being behind closed doors. Just wear comfortable athletic attire so you can move freely.

Some people worry that stretching is going to hurt.
“No pain, no gain” is NOT how stretching works! Instead, the process is about completing a series of stretches that slowly lengthen the muscle fibers over multiple sessions.

How soon will I feel the results?

Everyone sees an increase in range of motion once they are stretching regularly.

Most people see improvement with one to three sessions per week after three months. Once your body is functioning properly, you can switch to a maintenance program of one or two sessions per month to maintain the results you’ve achieved.

“You’ll notice improvement in normal activities like bending over. You’ll feel relief after just one session and the more often you come in, the better the results will be,” says Frazier.

Over the course of the program, stretching can alleviate back pain, sciatica, tension, stress in the body, and increase range of motion in the knee, hip, shoulder.
